STH Series

The STH Series is engineered for mid-range rotary indexing applications that require high accuracy, robust load capacity, and flexible motor integration. Built around a precision rotary table with a large 85 mm hollow shaft, the STH provides clean routing for cables, tubing, ball screws, or other mechanical elements. Its heavy-duty cross-roller bearing delivers exceptional rigidity, supporting tilting moment loads up to 200 Nm and radial loads up to 5000 N—ideal for mid-size steel or aluminum dial tables, assembly fixtures, and end-of-arm tooling.

With backlash as low as 2 arc-min and indexing accuracy to ±60 arc-sec, the STH sets the standard for smooth, repeatable rotary positioning of large inertia loads. Using Nidec’s modular design concept, the STH integrates either an inline VRL-070 or right-angle EVL-070 planetary gearbox to achieve reduction ratios from 12:1 to 400:1, giving OEMs flexibility across a wide range of system requirements.

Motor mounting is fast and precise using our optimized adapter system with active centering, ensuring perfect alignment and long-term system reliability. The STH Series is a strong upgrade path for OEMs transitioning from mechanical cam-driven indexers or pneumatic systems.
